Educational and Fun Classes

Creative Digital Photography with Bob Gross, Wednesdays at 6:30pm to 8:30pm at TVHS, April 11, 18, 25 and May 2. Price is $65. Join us for four evenings of creative photography challenges! Better, more interesting, photos happen when we’re creative with our cameras. You don’t need an expensive camera to take interesting images. All we need is a desire to get creative, don’t be afraid to experiment (make mistakes) and have fun. In each 2-hour session we’ll begin with a quick discussion on equipment setup and the goals for the evening. Following this short lecture, we’ll “learn by doing” during our hands-on exercises. These creative labs will be held around the Twin Valley campus and playing fields.

  • Do you find action photography a challenge? Let’s learn some new skills and practice them to help get better sports, family and pet photos.
  • Are you on a limited photography budget? We’ll be demonstrating and making some homemade tools that can help you get better shots. Have fun experimenting with inexpensive lights and adding on and off-camera flash.
  • Do you often say, “there’s nothing interesting to shoot”? We’ll be experimenting with camera and lighting techniques that can make a boring subject come alive and create some cool abstract photo art in the process. Learn why blurry images aren’t always bad.
  • Do you pack the camera equipment away when the sun goes down? Evening and night photography can open up a whole new world of opportunities and give you a better understanding of your camera’s capabilities.

Bring your camera (DSLR, Point-and-Shoot or even your phone) and join the fun.
